Whenever I took it to the dealer for something and I had the box on, they would always give me the report stating the the fuel rail pressure was too low but did not know what was causing it. One I started taking the jeep to the dealer with the box off, never had the code.

The first thing to do when you have loss of power and white smoke from a diesel engine is change the fuel filter. It's cheap and easy, just get it out of the way. Especially after you just switched to biodiesel! Update us after you do that.
Aug 7, 2012 · 2.8 Diesel. Suddenly decided to take approx 5-6 seconds cranking to start If i pop hood and manually prime it will start straight away but then cut out. If i wait 15 seconds with ignition on fisrt it will strart straight away. Any ideas before i go insane!!! Sort by Oldest first. 4.

Apr 21, 2015 · The 2.8 crd isn't a quite diesel at all. It's knocking/rattling (typical diesel sound). You don't hear it much inside of the jeep, even if you drive open. But the sound suits to the wrangler's rough look. The engine itself has plenty of torque right from the start but doesn't like higher speeds (>140kph/86mph).
